DESCRIPTION

This course provides the foundations of sound argumentation skills and analytical thinking, focusing on understanding arguments and identifying flawed logic. Students will apply the theoretical knowledge they gain through critical analysis of practical examples. It aims to lead students towards independent, critical, analytical thinking which leads to consistency in reasoning.

Students are expected to give proper weight to the words they use and to their interconnections. Students are encouraged to challenge each other in a constructive way, leading to the growth of their intellectual skills and maturity. Students are expected to refine their presentational abilities, and the capacity to present an argument logically and effectively. After completing the course, students are expected to manifest a higher level of self-confidence when presenting their own arguments and thesis. Students will constantly practice with written assignments and oral presentations, which will receive a feedback.
