DESCRIPTION

The course ?Mediation? examines the complexity of the mediation process and provides students with techniques and skills for performing and conducting the successful mediation process.
The aim of this course is to explore and understand approaches to the mediation process in both theoretical and practical contexts. It examines the complexity of the mediation process, and provides students with an understanding of techniques and skills for performing and conducting successful mediation processes. The course examines the ethical, legal and cultural aspects of the mediation process, and also psychological and emotional dimensions. It covers various ways of understanding the process of resolving disputes, enhancing the ability to listen, developing options, understanding conflicting interests, teaches how to build agreement, and addresses how to preserve values and relationships through the mediation process.
