LEG 300 Legal Skills Development

This course is designed to enhance students' skills that are essential for the rapidly changing legal market. Law graduates need skills beyond what can be taught in books as they enter their professional careers. We believe that employers highly value strong interpersonal skills,negotiation skills, project management skills,commercial and financial acumen and a good understanding of technology, as well as effective legal and professional writing. Furthermore, these experiences must be learned by experiential methods and immersion into projects, as well as through interactions with individuals from various backgrounds, including lawyers, business professionals, laypeople and more. Therefore, this course will go beyond teaching the value of these skills and will give students practical application of what they learn. Furthermore, this interactive course will give students a stronger understanding of their own strengths and weaknesses, and will encourage growth mindset in the course and beyond.
