DESCRIPTION

Contract is at the chore of everyday life commitments (sale agreements, rents, lending agreements, proxies, etc.). From a legal point of view, a legally binding obligation is a legal commitment under which a creditor may demand the debtor to perform positively or negatively something (do something/not-to-do something, absolute/contingent commitments, etc. ). Contractual obligations share common legal rules. Some contracts may also have rules of their own, depending on their very nature (sale agreements vs rent agreements vs service agreements, etc.). These rules may come from Statute law; as far as the English law is concerned, they also come from Equity and from case-law.

Hence, it turn out to be necessary to be familiar with common rules of contracts and to be aware of some specific rules dealing with the most useful business contracts (sale agreements, service agreements).

It is thus fundamental to get used not only to the rules pertaining to the execution of a contract but also to those pertaining to the performance of contractual obligations
