This course aims to provide a general understanding of international trade and, more specifically, knowledge of techniques used in export practice. It is composed of two parts. The first part part, entitled ?Export Diagnosis?, is a project conducted by the students and based on a real case. It makes the students more familiar with the conditions that SMEs have to meet in order to implement a successful export strategy. Working in small groups, students assess the feasibility and chance of success of several export projects submitted by existing SMEs. They build a business plan and develop recommendations based upon their own analysis of data collected from foreign markets, academic and professional sources. The presentation of their Action Plan is included below as session 11.The second part deals with customs procedures, the overall international carriage of goods and also the techniques and means of international payment
