DESCRIPTION

For personal and work reasons, the students should be capable of using multimedia tools and resources to research, organize, assess and communicate information. They should also be capable of employing digital technologies, communication and social network tools to participate actively in a democratic society and in an economy where knowledge prevails.

The Multimedia and Internet course has the objective of developing the capability of the students to prepare presentations, web pages and other formats that incorporate text, sound, graphics and animation. This competence will allow them to produce materials to inform, train or entertain others, as well as design electronic portfolios with academic and professional purposes.

Throughout the course, the students will begin to become familiar with the Internet, the purposes and uses of multimedia in society, the hardware, the operative systems and software for the production and edition of multimedia. Then, they will delve deeper into the characteristics and uses of text, graphics and animation, audio and video in multimedia, and into multimedia project management in the Web.
