DESCRIPTION
This course has been designed for students who are proficient users of the Spanish language. The course aims to develop students? knowledge and skills at the advanced level (C1), according to the Common European Framework for Languages (CEFR). Throughout this course, students will produce a wide range of demanding, long texts, recognize implicit meaning, summarize information from different spoken and written sources, reconstruct/paraphrase arguments in a coherent presentation, and develop other higher cognitive skills. They should be able to express themselves fluently and spontaneously using Spanish slangs, sayings and other cultural aspects. By the end of the course, students will be using language flexibly and effectively in social, academic, and professional environments as they are able to show controlled use of organizational patterns, connectors, and cohesive devices.
