DESCRIPTION

The course will explore basic legal principles in the context of business. Discussions will revolve around the important intersection between law and business, as well as various ethical issues that arise in the world of business. The course is designed to provide students with a basic understanding of legal aspects and concerns of the modern business community.

Emphasis is placed upon ethics, contracts, employment law, torts and business torts, negligence, criminal law, and its role in business and corporations as topics. Other key legal concepts that arise in business settings will also be discussed.
