DESCRIPTION
This course is designed for elementary Chinese learners. By taking this course, students will grasp the elementary speaking functional sentences and useful expressions,skillfully use words and basic sentences to communicate with native speakers in daily life. A variety of topics will be covered in this course, like introduction,payment, shopping, asking and giving directions, traffic, travel, getting something fixed, family, habitation, hobby, festival, etc. which may help students understand more about Chinese culture and society while learning the language. Authentic materials will be used in class from time to time. Activities and tasks will be given both in and out of class to create opportunities for students to use the language in real life situation.
