DESCRIPTION
This course is designed for total beginners who have never learned Chinese before. By taking this course, students will grasp the pronunciation of Chinese, skillfully use Pinyin, and understand the basic grammars and structures in Chinese. And they will be able to use simple expressions to tell their thoughts and communicate with native speakers in daily life. A variety of topics will be covered in this course, like job, food, time, date, hobby, weather, etc., which may help students understand more about Chinese culture and society while learning the language. Authentic materials will be used in class from time to time. Tasks will be given both in and out of class to create opportunities for students to use the language in real life situation.
