DESCRIPTION
This course is designed for intermediate students or above. By taking this course, students will learn the complex expressions to talk about some abstract topics, in order to feel more comfortable to communicate with people in Chinese. A variety of topics will be covered in this course, like working attitude, culture protection, pets social phenomenon, education challenge, intimate relations and so on, which could help students understand more about Chinese culture and society while learning the language. News, videos, movie and various materials will be used in class from time to time. Writing, presentations, different research tasks will be given both in and out of class to create opportunities for students to practice what they learn in class. When students learn to use the language need to focus on the three modes: interpersonal, interpretive, and presentational. Emphasis on learner as ?doer? and ?creator?. In this course learners create to ?share and publish ? to audiences more than just the teacher.
