DESCRIPTION
This course is designed for learners of intermediate to advanced level. By taking this course, students will learn a series of Chinese commonly used sentence patterns, and be able to engage in conversation in a clearly participatory manner and voice their opinion about common phenomenon in life. They can also deal with a social situation with an unexpected complication. Speakers should have sufficient control of basic structures and generic vocabulary to be understood by native speakers of the language,including those unaccustomed to non-native speech. A variety of topics will be covered in this course which may help students understand more about Chinese culture and society while learning the language, like pressure, family, hunting job, health, entertainment, education, Chinese spring festival and so on. Some helpful materials will be used in class from time to time. Some interesting tasks will be given both in and out of class to create opportunities for students to learn and consolidate knowledge.
