DESCRIPTION
This course is designed for the low-intermediate students who have mastered more than 800 Chinese words or passed HSK3, but still want to improve their Chinese. By taking this course, students will improve Chinese language ability, communicative ability and the learning ability of comprehensive Chinese application. A variety of topics will be covered in this course, like love, family, idioms, e-life that occurred in contemporary Chinese society expect some idioms, myths and legends, which may help students understand more about Chinese culture and society while learning the language. Paper materials and multimedia will be used in class from time to time. simulated performances, multimedia-rich presentation, word games, character games,interactive discussion and group discussion will be given both in and out of class to create opportunities for students to help students to use what they have learned vocabulary and grammar points, and to understand the different characteristics between Chinese culture and other cultures,deepen students' understanding of Chinese society and culture and also enhance their ability of cross-cultural communication at the same time.
