DESCRIPTION

The course focuses on landscape planning and is a fourth-year course of the bachelor?s degree in Fundamentals of Architecture. The main issues that concern the course are related to the modern concept of landscape in connection with other aspects of urban and territorial planning that include ecology, geography, and architecture. The context is the metropolitan territorial scale and the periurban areas. The learning process involves a weekly workshop, focused on three main learning objectives:
i) to develop strategies based on territorial features;
ii) to introduce assessment tools for landscape perception so that it can be part of the project decision-making process;
iii) to provide project solutions for developing contemporary landscapes.

Course will consist of 60hrs of in class work and 90 hrs of independent work outside the classroom.
