DESCRIPTION

As a continuation to Urban Planning 1, Urban Planning 2 is a monothematic course about the urban public space. This subject aims to cover theories and strategies related to the public space?s spatial analysis and project development. This subject focuses on the study of the urban public space from different scales and perspectives. Any intervention in a public space requires a thorough understanding of its impact on individuals, groups and society. Traditional and contemporary theoretical and design guidelines and tools are used throughout the course to provide a comprehensive analytical and projectual approach to the public space.

Course will consist of 60hrs of in class work and 90 hrs of independent work outside the classroom.
