DESCRIPTION

This is an introductory course to computer programming in a high-level object-oriented language. The course will cover fundamental structures including functions, conditional and loop statements, user input and output, arrays, pointers, memory management and general coding practices including program design, documentation, error handling, testing and debugging. In the later part of the course, basic concepts of objects, structures combining data and methods, will be introduced. C++ will be used in this course, with the concepts applicable to other high-level programming languages. The course will be hands-on, as just like riding a bicycle, computer programming is best learned by practice.
