DESCRIPTION

This intermediate level course is designed to build on basic French skills. Students will learn to express themselves in such daily situations as shopping, meeting people on the street or in a café, asking for directions, and participating in conversations about current event topics. The student's knowledge of vocabulary and grammatical structures is expanded. Styles of composition and phonetics are also discussed in this course.

**The Université Grenoble - Alpes utilizes a 60-minute contact hour whereas the United States higher education system utilizes a 50-minute contact hour. Recommended U.S. credits listed on CEA's website reflect a conversion of these contact hours. Transcripts will include the number of hours per week, so US colleges/universities may calculate the appropriate number of US credits they choose to award their students. ***
