DESCRIPTION
This module will examine many of the world religions (Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Sikhism, Confucianism, Taoism, and Primal Religions) in their own context and in their dialogue and encounter with other faiths, notably Christianity. Primarily it will survey the fundamental texts, doctrines, and traditions of the world religions. In addition to examining the religions from a historical and cultural perspective, the course will also aim to provide a foundation for comparative and intercultural theology in our pluralist context.
