DESCRIPTION

Through international reports, such as Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch, we will see the specific situation of Human Rights in a number of countries in Latin America during the current decade. Discussions in the classes will look into current issues, such as violence, abortion, public campaigns and minorities, so students can have a deeper understanding of the social realities from a Human Rights perspective. Students will also learn to respond to these issues by using different methods for planning and evaluating projects. This way, they will be able to apply the course's conceptual elements into a specific scenario to make a social, political or cultural change.
