The events and processes of single countries are not investigated and analysed separately, but rather embedded into the changes of the world economy and into regional economic and political processes, while the special role of some major countries inevitably stands out. Guest lecturers (primarily Latin American ambassadors accredited to Budapest, as well as active and retired diplomats) will also participate and give classes during the course. For the seminars we will read articles about recent events in Latin-America, we will analyse its economic-political-social background, debating about the causes and setting up scenarios.
