DESCRIPTION

Data science is an emerging field, and it is rooted in mathematics, statistics, and information technology including Python programming language. This course aims at introducing the foundation of data science and applied tools. Python programming language is presented in more detail. The students will be capable of applying algorithmic methods, methodologies and thinking to data analytics processes and data-driven business problem-solving and decision-making. They will use the Python programming environment, which is widely used in data science, to gain hands-on experience in programming structures, algorithms, data types, and object-oriented programming among others, and to understand the programming paradigm, its advantages, and limitations.
