The subject of the Constitution and its sources explains and studies, first, the history of constitutionalism and the history of the Spanish constitutionalism, to address, in a second block of contents, the Constitution as Legal Norm and its system of sources, as well as the structural principles of the legal order. This discipline enable students to obtain a basic legal-constitutional knowledge on the constitutional foundations of the Spanish legal order and the application of the system of sources to the Social and Democratic State of Law. This subject contributes to the professional profile of the degree and to the development of specific and generic competences offering the knowledge of the basis of the entire legal system.
