DESCRIPTION
This unit provides an opportunity for participating students to consider the role of the international business enterprise within the dynamics of information, knowledge and power and the ethical challenges this raises. By examining aspects of culture and development, illustrations of the power-structures of management and information are constructed and their scale-based issues identified and then extended. By building awareness of, and participating in dialogue relating to, politics, philosophy, psychology and development, students engage with topical issues relating to conflict, disaster, control and sustainability to resolve actual or potential management issues relating to information and knowledge.
