DESCRIPTION
This module explores the transformation of the European media scene since 1945. It focuses on the contemporary changes taking place in all forms of the media: press, television, film, and radio/audio services. Some of these changes are due to new technology and globalization, but in political as well as economic terms, the European Union is reshaping the once predominant national scene. The form the media industry will take is changing rapidly. In a time of new ideas, this module attempts to understand how the media reflect change in societies, and how societies are changing the media.
