DESCRIPTION

This course provides an overview of the history, philosophy and contemporary developments in the study of strategic human resource management. This will done by reviewing scientific articles, books, and current events. Classical and postmodern theories will be discussed and applied to contemporary topics including, Corporate Social Responsibility (which gives attention to Environmental & Social Governance, ethics, sustainability) workplace diversity and inclusion, work-life balance, interpersonal development (including emotional intelligence), and some attention will be devoted to technological developments and how these are blurring the line between work and private life.
