DESCRIPTION

The Course will analyze the principal trends in Spanish Art during the twentieth century. During the first half of the century, developments in Spanish Art were determined by a particular set of historical circumstances. After the arrival of democracy it will become clear that Spanish artists were more fully integrated into the worldwide Art movement. We have chosen those artists who are representative of certain developments in a key way and through whom, in general terms, Spanish art in the 20th century may be explored.
