DESCRIPTION
This course covers the linguistic geography of the Arab world and the varieties of Arab language. The course will analyze the different phonological and writing systems of the Arab language. It will also cover an introduction to the morphosintaxis of Modern Arab language and the acquisition of the basic communicative strategies. Content: history of Arab language, map of the Arab world, alphabet, and auxiliaries signs 'Sokun, Hamza, Tasdid and Madda', classification of Arab words 'nouns, verbs, and prepositions', greetings, masculine and feminine, compounds phrases, articles, vocabulary 'the human body', the concept of morphological paradigm, personal pronouns and concordance.
