WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE CLASS WHILE ABROAD, AND WHY? (IF YOU INTERNED ABROAD YOU CAN USE THIS SPACE TO TELL US ABOUT YOUR INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE IF YOU PREFER)
My favorite class abroad had to be my internship class. My internship allowed me to network with peers my age and who are in my career field. Connecting with other interns in different sectors helped us share experiences common in working/interning. A plus in interning was connecting with the local community. In my experience, it was connecting with filmmakers around the world who are highlighting human rights causes. It opened my eyes and steered me to what I'd like to pursue in the future.
HOW DID YOU ENGAGE WITH THE LOCAL COMMUNITY WHILE ABROAD?
An important element in my time studying abroad was connecting with the community through my research and internship. My group members and I researched the housing crisis in Prague, comparing it with other European cities. Through that, we had to talk to many different demographics to determine the communities we were dealing with. As for my internship at the One World International Film Festival, we connected with not only several filmmakers around the world, but also the people in Prague.
