1. How has your study abroad experience shaped you?
College is a time to really dive deep into who you are and where you want to go in life. Studying abroad has not only allowed me to meet people around the world, but it has also allowed me to truly meet myself. It's pushed me to be more independent and self-reliant, which has also made me more courageous. I've been able to study cultural diversity and even acquire a new language. Professionally, it has provided me with a number of skills that have prepared me to work in cross-cultural teams and communicate clearly. Ultimately, my time studying abroad has been an incredibly formative experience.
2. Why should a student go abroad?
When you first go abroad, it can be really scary. Once you're on that airplane, heading to the Czech Republic it can feel like you're leaving your friends and family behind. However, it doesn't take long to realize that you'll be making friends that feel like family in no time. One of the best aspects of my study abroad experience are the lifelong friendships I've made and the incredible memories that go along with them.
