HOW DID YOU ENGAGE WITH THE LOCAL COMMUNITY WHILE ABROAD?
I attended literary festivals to meet like-minded people, stayed at homes instead of hotels when I traveled so that I could interact with locals, and tried new experiences like going out with my friends in the evening and seeing the city's night life while staying safe. In a place as large as London, it can be quite difficult to make those kinds of connections. With the help of my flatmates, and my own desire to see how Londoners experienced the world, I accomplished my goal to broaden my horizons and engage with local communities.
WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE CLASS WHILE ABROAD, AND WHY?
To be honest, I loved ALL my classes and my professors. If I had to choose one, though, I would probably pick Theatre in the City because of the engaging way it was taught and because one of the shows we attended, Cowbois, will forever be one of my core memories from London. Though this class was three hours long, it never felt like three hours, and I enjoyed every moment.
