WHAT'S ONE STORY OR IMPORTANT ASPECT YOU ALWAYS TELL PEOPLE ABOUT YOUR TIME ABROAD?
One important aspect of my study abroad that I always tell people about is living with my host family. My host family created such a welcome experience for me and my flat mates. My host mom was so much fun and really helped encourage us to practice our French and get the most out of our experience. It was so wonderful to wake up every morning to have her excitement about the excursions we were going on or what we are learning in school. Just being able to sit and talk to her about France and its culture was the way that I learned so much that I didn't know before. She gave us all the ins and outs of navigating our time in Paris and the best advice for what to do and see.

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE CLASS WHILE ABROAD, AND WHY?
My favorite class while abroad was my FREN 310, Spoken French in Cultural Context. This class was extremely fun and useful while being in France. We took a deep dive into French culture and learned out to talk about topics relevant to our French experience like slang, anglicisms, and protests that we ultimately ended up interacting with during out time there. This class also significantly improved my ability to talk and hold a conversation in France which was extremely useful.
