In his role as Senior Custom Program Developer, Max works to build creative and accessible opportunities for all kinds of students and institutions, while collaborating with colleagues around the world. Prior to joining CEA CAPA, Max was a Program Coordinator with Michigan State University Education Abroad, working at first on UK and Ireland-based programs, and later with language, arts, and humanities programs in various locations. In addition to program management, he assisted with program design across the university and developed expertise in program budgeting practices. He started out in the field as a Program Assistant at the Florida State University London Study Center. He has served in professional volunteer positions as a UK Consular Affairs Liaison and Country Coordinator with the NAFSA IssueNet team and as Chair, Webmaster, and Education Abroad Knowledge Community Chair with the Michigan Association of International Educators (MAIE). Max holds an M.A. in Strategic Communication with a certificate in Organizational Communication for Leadership from Michigan State University, and a B.S. in Economics and Political Science from Florida State University. He is based in Lansing, Michigan.
