WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE CLASS WHILE ABROAD, AND WHY?
My favorite class I took abroad was video storytelling at AAU. I got to film, produce, write, and edit my own documentary while being in Prague. I made friends with a beautiful Catholic Nun who works at a Library in Prague and she agreed to tell her story about maintaining her faith under communism and her vocation to the sisterhood. That class made me a lifelong connection, and I am grateful for Sr. Akavina!
HOW DID YOU ENGAGE WITH THE LOCAL COMMUNITY WHILE ABROAD?
I loved exploring new coffee shops in different Prague districts! I would make it my goal to visit at least three different ones each week. There were so many different beautiful cafes! I loved interacting with the barista and sharing stories with them!
