HOW DID YOU ENGAGE WITH THE LOCAL COMMUNITY WHILE ABROAD?
I joined apps like MeetUp to join local events and I also made an effort to ask the staff at CEA CAPA for advice on looking for events and things going on in the area. I told them I was interested in being a part of the Queer community and they would send me lists of the events going on and inform me on the surrounding neighborhoods and what they offer!
WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE CLASS WHILE ABROAD, AND WHY?
I took a Photography class titled "Photography in Barcelona", which gave us the opportunity to explore Barcelona and take photos of things in our area. Occasionally, we would leave class to even go around the CEA CAPA study center for pictures. We would also take trips to museums and learn about photography and photographers from Spain and around the world.
