WHAT'S ONE STORY OR IMPORTANT ASPECT YOU ALWAYS TELL PEOPLE ABOUT YOUR TIME ABROAD?
I always tell people about how much fun it was to explore the city and culture with the other students on the program. We often organized dinner parties at the apartment I shared with other two students, where we had the chance to try each other’s recipes and also talk about what was going on in our lives. Sometimes we also went out to walk around the town or go somewhere together. It was really fun and I think I made a much stronger connection with them than I would have otherwise.
WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE CLASS WHILE ABROAD, AND WHY?
My favorite class was philosophical practice. Although trying to express my thoughts in a foreign language was very challenging, it was also a very interesting way of practicing speaking. Since in the class there where people from many different countries and of different ages, it was also a great opportunity to learn more about their own cultures. We had many interesting conversations where we analyzed the class’s topics from various points of view, and also doing creative projects to represent the conclusions we agreed upon.
