Why did you choose to study or intern abroad?
I chose to study abroad because it is an integral part of my majors (International Security/Spanish). My academic college highly encourages study abroad, and I have a huge passion for traveling and learning other cultures, so it was a no brainer for me. I am studying in Buenos Aires because I am a Spanish major, and my region of focus in IR is Latin America––I can't wait!
Why IS ONE NEW EXPERIENCE YOU'RE HOPING TO HAVE WHILE ABROAD?
I am hopefully going to live with a host family, which I am very excited about. It's such an intimate cultural experience that I think will improve my sense of belonging in the global community and my language skills.
What CLASS ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO TAKING while ABROAD?
I am most looking forward to taking Human Rights and Cultural Representations and Advanced Spanish A because they align with my majors most directly, and my fields of interest/focus.
WHAT IS SOMETHING you're passionate and excited about?
I am passionate about photography (hence why I'm here), music, culture, relationships, God, and human rights activism/justice. These will all be very well combined with the programs I am doing and the classes I'm taking! I am simply so excited for this experience.
