WHAT'S ONE STORY OR IMPORTANT ASPECT YOU ALWAYS TELL PEOPLE ABOUT YOUR TIME ABROAD?
The first thing I always tell people is, "Oh my, the architecture is absolutely beautiful." Being able to walk down the street seeing all the history, rather than the modern solid color box style. The next thing usually follows around the concept of learning more about myself and becoming more confident.
HOW DID YOU ENGAGE WITH THE LOCAL COMMUNITY WHILE ABROAD?
During my time in London, the group I was with went to restaurants and pubs a lot in the beginning, where we would have small talk with the locals. We also went on a day trip to Oxford as well as an overnight trip to the Cotswolds where we were able to speak with locals directly. They prepared a lunch for us made with ingredients, mostly all, made from within the town.
