WHAT'S ONE STORY OR IMPORTANT ASPECT YOU ALWAYS TELL PEOPLE ABOUT YOUR TIME ABROAD?
When thinking about my time abroad, I always tell people how much I loved and felt immersed in the city. I think it's such an amazing opportunity to explore a new city and country surrounded by like-minded people! There is this sense of independence and adventure that surrounds studying abroad and I truly think that experiences like this one can help to change an individual's trajectory in life as well as their perspective.

HOW DID YOU ENGAGE WITH THE LOCAL COMMUNITY WHILE ABROAD?
While abroad I engaged in the local community by interacting with the locals in Spanish, and traveling to new places. During my trip to Alicante, the festival Hogueras was occurring, so I attended many fire work shows, bonfires, and parties celebrating the festival. I also spent time with my host family, and we always had dinners together every night. I met many people while abroad, in cafes, at the beach, and even when walking the streets. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming, so it is easy to engage with your environment!
