WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO STUDY/INTERN ABROAD?
At the University of Delaware, I am in a program called the World Scholars Program which is a four-year comprehensive global engagement program where you study abroad twice once during your first semester of college and then again anytime during your junior year. I knew this time studying abroad I wanted to get more out of it then I was able to the first time. I saw CEA had the opportunity to intern while also studying abroad, and knew that by doing this I could get a whole new unique experience many people do not get to have while also expanding and developing professional skills, cultural understandings and competencies, and being able to just grow more as a person.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE YOUR STUDY/INTERN CITY?
Choosing Prague was a no-brainer for me. When I was studying abroad in my first semester of college in Rome, I took a weekend trip to Prague with some of my friends. I took one step into the streets of Prague and Old Town Square and immediately knew I needed to come back. I contacted my program coordinator right away, and she said Prague was one of the most popular locations for upper division students at my university, so I immediately knew I was able to come back. Additionally, my university approved a vast amount of interesting courses that I could count toward my majors and minors back home, but just the beauty and location of Prague and the Czech Republic made me want to come study abroad here. Finally, one of the many reasons I chose to come back to Prague – I was just not really familiar at all with Eastern Europe and the lure of the deep history found here, so coming here to learn about an unfamiliar culture and history was also another reason I chose to come.

WHAT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO DURING YOUR ABROAD EXPERIENCE?
I am looking forward to being able to fully immerse myself in the culture more this time. I really want to try more foods, dive deeper into the Czech Culture, and really live like a local. I want to try as many foods while I am abroad, too, since I am a foodie and love to try new foods. Finally, I want to take part in experiences like cooking classes, food tours, outdoor hikes and being in nature, and the CEA planned excursions among other things.

FUN FACT (HOBBIES, INTERESTS, ACCOMPLISHMENT, ETC.)?
I really love to travel and explore new places (cliche, but still perfect for study abroad). I also really like listening to music, cooking, trying new foods, and also just hanging out with my friends. I also love to be outside and be in nature by doing things such as kayaking, biking, hiking, etc.
