Why did you choose to study or intern abroad?
Studying abroad has always been one of those things I knew I had to do. I wanted a completely new experience, something that would push me out of my routine and into something exciting. Paris just made sense. As a fashion marketing major, there’s no better place to be, but beyond that, I’ve always loved the energy of this city and how every street feels like a movie set, every café feels like a place where something interesting could happen. It’s a mix of creativity, history, and style, and I wanted to experience that for myself.
WhAT IS ONE NEW EXPERIENCE YOU'RE HOPING TO HAVE WHILE ABROAD?
I really want to take a solo day trip somewhere outside of Paris. Traveling alone is something I’ve never done before, and I think it would be such a cool way to challenge myself and see how I handle navigating a new place on my own. The idea of having a completely unplanned day where I can do whatever I want, at my own pace, sounds like the perfect kind of adventure. Whether it’s hopping on a train to a nearby city, exploring a little village, or just getting intentionally lost in a new area.
What CLASS ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO TAKING while ABROAD?
I’m most excited for my trend forecasting class. I love seeing how trends evolve and understanding the factors such as cultural, social, and economic that influence what people wear. Being in Paris, where so many global trends are born, makes it even more exciting because I get to experience it in real time. I’m looking forward to learning how brands stay ahead of the curve and spotting fashion shifts as they happen in the world's fashion capital.
WHAT IS SOMETHING you're passionate and excited about?
I love fashion, photography, and anything that lets me be creative. I’m always taking pictures whether it’s for social media, Pinterest, my friends, or just for myself. I love finding cool spots, outfits, or moments that feel worth capturing. I’m also really interested in how fashion connects to culture and identity, especially seeing how people dress differently around the world.
