WHAT'S ONE STORY OR IMPORTANT ASPECT YOU ALWAYS TELL PEOPLE ABOUT YOUR TIME ABROAD?
An important aspect that I always talk about is that my favorite part of my whole trip wasn't seeing the amazing historic sites in Rome, however, that was an amazing part, but actually just seeing Italy for the different natural environment that it was. From the types of trees to the mountainous landscape, it felt like a whole new world in a way that different locations in the US don't. Escaping from all the tourist traps and hustle and bustle of city life to a quiet nature area might very well be the best experience of your trip, it was for mine.
WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE CLASS WHILE ABROAD, AND WHY? (IF YOU INTERNED ABROAD YOU CAN USE THIS SPACE TO TELL US ABOUT YOUR INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE IF YOU PREFER)
My favorite class while studying abroad was "Art and Archeology". Since I was studying in Rome, aka one of the largest preserved historic areas in the world, the class consisted of meeting up at a new archeology site every morning and seeing the artifacts for ourselves. It was a surreal experience, as seeing something like the Colosseum in person is entirely different from seeing pictures. Something else that was neat about the course is that it was taught by a local who was able to take us to locations that a majority of tourists don't see.
