James Jagger is an Academic Coordinator for CEA CAPA Madrid. Though originally from Colorado, James has called Madrid his home since 2014 when he decided to move across the pond in pursuit of adventure. He holds a BA in Spanish Philology from Colorado State University and an MA in Enseñanza del ELE from the University of Alcalá. His initial interest in study abroad came after getting the travel bug during trips to Peru and Panama with his high school Spanish club, later deciding on a career that would combine his love of Spanish, education, and travel. James has dedicated much of his professional life to international education, having worked as an interpreter, English teacher, as well as for a local university and study abroad company. James wishes to continue providing students with accessible, experiential learning opportunities to foster better global perspectives and cultural understanding. He now considers himself quite the "Madrileño" and loves to explore the ever-evolving city. You can find him out for drinks or dancing with friends, checking out the cultural events at El Matadero Madrid, or keeping active doing sport.
