My favorite class while abroad was "Exploring The Global City: Sydney". What I enjoyed most about this class was the amount of exploring we did outside of the classroom. We got to know the area around us in terms of new spots to check out with our friends as well as historically significant locations. This class really helped me orient myself in the city as well as continue to expand my horizons. The professor, Lorna, was great as well.

HOW DID YOU ENGAGE WITH THE LOCAL COMMUNITY WHILE ABROAD?
My favorite way that I engaged with the local community while abroad was participating in Surf Camp Australia. I had no experience with surfing and it was amazing to learn from the local instructors in such a beautiful place. There was no cell-phone service and the surfing instructors cooked all of the meals for the campers. It was amazing to connect with nature and other CEA CAPA students on this trip.
