WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO STUDY/INTERN ABROAD?
At my home university, I am enrolled in a program called the World Scholars program where I was able to choose to study abroad my very first semester (Fall 2019) and at some point my junior year. I have previously studied abroad in Rome, Italy, and absolutely loved it. I knew I had to return, but make my experience even more customized to my interests. This is why I chose to intern this time abroad. Given the pandemic, the chances of traveling within the United States, let alone Europe, seemed slim to none. As soon as my university restarted programs, I took the opportunity immediately. Travel will forever be an aspect of my life that I have learned the most from, and it contains memories I will treasure forever.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE YOUR STUDY/INTERN CITY?
During my first study abroad program, I took a trip to Prague with some friends and immediately knew I wanted to come back. Something about the beauty, environment, and size drew me to Prague. Since then, I haven't looked back and am eternally grateful to be able to study and intern in a very accessible city with beautiful views at every corner.
WHAT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO DURING YOUR ABROAD EXPERIENCE?
I am looking forward to meeting new people, building professional connections, and exploring the city both in a group and independently. So far, the CEA program located in Prague has allowed me to have these experiences already. Unlike any other travel experience I have had before, Prague has continued to surprise me in the number of activities I can partake in and opportunities to achieve the goals I have for myself abroad.
FUN FACT (HOBBIES, INTERESTS, ACCOMPLISHMENT, ETC.)?
My hobbies and interests other than travel include performing arts like theater, dancing, and singing, as well as entrepreneurship. My biggest accomplishment is creating a podcast during the pandemic, where I discuss political issues domestically as well as globally that are important to me. It's called "It Matters" and the Instagram page is @itmatters_pod if you are looking to listen or contact me!
