HOW DID YOU ENGAGE WITH THE LOCAL COMMUNITY WHILE ABROAD?
I wanted to immerse myself in the Spanish language while abroad. I always tried to speak Spanish in every place with the locals in Barcelona. I practiced while ordering at restaurants, asking questions in shops, or meeting new people at my Uni. Watching my Spanish skills improve was rewarding, but the connections I made with the people during these conversations is what was really special. I ended up meeting some local friends and met them at a local cafe or bar several times a month and these are some of my most cherished memories!

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE CLASS WHILE ABROAD, AND WHY?
My favorite class was Global Competence & Communication at CEA CAPA. This class was heavily discussion based and focused on different communication practices to utilize while abroad. I loved that I was learning practical information to use during my travels and within my future personal and professional endeavors. getting to reflect on our experiences in class while attaching them to concrete communication concepts was very interesting and it was very fun and interactive!
