DID YOU ENGAGE WITH THE LOCAL COMMUNITY WHILE ABROAD?
I lived with a host, which helped me to learn the French culture and how French people actually live. I got to eat French food that she cooked, and I got to meet a lot of her family members. It was a really awesome way to learn about French cultural traditions!
WHAT'S ONE STORY OR IMPORTANT ASPECT YOU ALWAYS TELL PEOPLE ABOUT YOUR TIME ABROAD?
I really enjoyed learning about the culture of France. I always tell people that it is so important to learn about the culture of a place before you go there. A lot of people think that French people are rude, but it is really just because they do not understand their cultures and customs. When you take the time to understand a culture, you will see that other people have really cool traditions that we could learn from.
