Why did you choose to study or intern abroad?
I chose to study abroad to learn more about myself and create new experiences in a different culture.
Why did you choose your study/intern destination?
I am studying in Galway, Ireland for this spring semester. I have family an hour away from campus which has been making my adjustment to a new country more relaxing and welcoming.
What CLASS ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO TAKING while ABROAD?
While in Galway I am most looking forward to the course I am taking called Supporting Children with Diverse Needs. This course consists of leaning a new mindset to be able to support children and students with diverse needs. I find it interesting because there are not one-way answers to be a help towards the varieties of diverse needs. This class will test my critical thinking on how to approach children with diverse needs to support but not enable their full potentials.
WHAT IS SOMETHING you're passionate and excited about?
I am passionate about all types of art and the complexity of the human mind. I learn psychology in New York so I am interested in comparing the classes from my home school to the ones I'll be taking in Ireland, while using the information in my everyday life. A goal of mine is to continue creating the habit of making art daily as in the future I am going to be an art therapist. This also will guide me to self reflect through my new experiences through the subconscious.
