WHAT'S ONE STORY OR IMPORTANT ASPECT YOU ALWAYS TELL PEOPLE ABOUT YOUR TIME ABROAD?
For a class assignment, we were told to walk around, come back and talk about the architecture all over the city. While doing this I went to go get a coffee, and while doing so, I saw the famous boxer Ryan Garcia taking pictures in a telephone booth, he came up to my friends and I and took pictures with all of us.
HOW DID YOU ENGAGE WITH THE LOCAL COMMUNITY WHILE ABROAD?
I would go out and about and support the local cafes and mom/pop shops instead of going to eat and support bigger corporations. I supported the local economy.
