Why did you choose to study or intern abroad?
I chose to study abroad in Paris because I was raised in a French-speaking household with extended family living across the sea. Going to college in a small town made me want to expand my horizons and take the opportunity to live in a big city that promotes different cultures, languages, and traditions. I chose Paris specifically because I love the atmosphere of the city and as a history major, it is an ideal location for immersing myself in French culture and history.

WhAT IS ONE NEW EXPERIENCE YOU'RE HOPING TO HAVE WHILE ABROAD?
I hope to go on solo traveling experiences! Being in Europe makes for close proximity to other incredible destinations, and I want to go out of my comfort zone by going to them by myself, exploring the cities and what they have to offer.

What CLASS ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO TAKING while ABROAD?
I'm most looking forward to taking Food & Culture in France. The class brings students to markets, wineries, and local shops, to experience French culture in ways ranging from pastry classes to wine tastings!

WHAT IS SOMETHING you're passionate and excited about? 
I'm most excited to live an authentic Parisian lifestyle! I opted for independent housing, so I'll be living in my own apartment in central Paris, which will provide me the chance to explore boutiques and restaurants. However, I'm most excited to go to local markets to buy French food and goods!
