Why did you choose to study or intern abroad?
I am lucky to have study abroad built into my program at Iowa State University. Most design students study abroad in Rome, but I have wanted to go to France since I was little. I chose to study in Aix-en-Provence to experience both French and Mediterranean cultures.
Why IS ONE NEW EXPERIENCE YOU'RE HOPING TO HAVE WHILE ABROAD?
I’m excited to experience French culture through food and art. I can’t wait to try new foods and visit the Louvre and the Fondation Monet in Giverny.
What CLASS ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO TAKING while ABROAD?
I’m most looking forward to the Sustainable Viticulture class that I’m taking. I enjoy gardening and am excited to practice on the on campus vineyard. I don’t have any experience with grapes so it will be interesting to learn about that and the wine production process.
WHAT IS SOMETHING you're passionate and excited about?
I have always loved to paint. I can’t wait to travel and watercolor the places I find that inspire me.
